Places to Visit within 100km

Konark & chandrabhaga

One is the historic Sun-temple and the other is one of the Blue-flag beaches, separated at a distance of 5.2km apart, and 71.5km from the Bhubaneswar town. Can be reached through Bus, private travels or tourist packages. Konark temple, otherwise known as the Black Pagoda is A UNESCO world heritage site for its unique architecture and carved wheels used to serve as sundials.  PURI is 30km from here.

Puri & Golden beach

One of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus, located in the state of Odisha. Famous for the Lord Jagannath temple, which is also believed as the final resting place of Lord Vishnu. It is one of the Char Dham Pilgrimage sites of India after Badrinath, Dwarka, and Rameswaram. It is also famous for the ancient chariot festival and it is believed that every Hindu should visit the char dhams during one's lifetime.

Deras

Deras dam is popular for its scenic beauty as its lies inside the Chandaka wildlife sanctuary. Located on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar and can be reached through reserved auto, private, and tour bookings. A place ideal for family outings, picnics,s, and photography.

Chilika

As counted among the world's largest lagoons, Chilika lake is yet another UNESCO world heritage center to visit. Situated at about 62km from Bhubaneswar and can be traveled through tourist packages or private travels. Various water sports activities are available to go for, with the main attraction of Kalijai temple amidst the lake & need to be traveled through the boat. You can also visit Nalabana, satapada, Rambha, Breakfast island, Honeymoon island, and Birds island from here.

Paradip (Port, Beach, Aquarium & Smruti udyan)

Must see Paradeep port, marine Aquarium, and Mahanadi river estuary. Well known for the primary port in Odisha, that transits thermal coal and iron ore as its major commodities.  105km from Bhubaneswar Via Cuttack can be traveled through public transport, private travels, and tourism package.

Nandankanan zoological park

The first Zoo of India to join the World Association of Zoos and aquariums in 2009, Nandankanan is the 437hectar zoo and botanical garden situated just adjacent to the main city. Along with the zoo, and Botanical garden, you can enjoy boating, safari's like Tiger Safari, Lion Safari, Bear Safari, and herbivore Safari, and butterfly garden.

khandagiri & udayagiri

Famous for the finely carved caves that are built during the 1st century BCE. Though it includes partly natural and partly artificial caves, it is fascinating enough to feel the mesmerizing view. From the top of khandagiri and udayagiri, you will be able to enjoy the scenic beauty of Bhubaneswar city. Situated within the city and can be reached by the public, private and tourism transport.

Ratnagiri

Famous for the site of a ruined mahavihara. Among the triad of the Buddhist diamond triangle. Situated 92km apart from Bhubaneswar can be reached by private or tourism transport.
